SectorWipe checks each drive’s capabilities, health, firmware, and controller connection. It proposes an available sanitization method based on those checks and your policy.
Check the target and method before approving the plan. SectorWipe checks the drive’s identity again before it starts and excludes the boot media from wiping.
Monitor wiping and verification from the portal. Review the drives that finish and those that fail, stop partway, or cannot be processed. Each drive keeps its own result.
Verification & certificates
The checks depend on the sanitization method. SectorWipe records what was checked, the coverage achieved, and any errors or limitations.
Sampled verification is labeled as sampled. Unread or unverified regions stay visible, and failed verification is never certified as a successful wipe.
Record the drive’s reported state, verification checks, coverage, and any errors.
Validate the reported outcome against the required evidence and policy. Incomplete or unacceptable results remain visible.
After a paid wipe passes validation, SectorWipe can issue a signed certificate of sanitization. It records what was reported and validated, including caveats. It does not guarantee that recovery is impossible.
Online & offline
When systems are online, use the portal to authorize wipes, follow progress, review results, and access centrally retained records.
Prepare signed authorization for disconnected work. Bring the tamper-evident results back to SectorWipe for reconciliation and validation before certificates are issued.
Available features depend on your paid offering. Free wiping issues no certificate.
